Garbage
- Green garbage bags are only filled ¼
- New dumpster located behind fox enclosure
- Sort, compose & recycling saves us $$$
Mallys
- ongoing investigation
- All raccoons have been euthanized due to distemper
- Criminal charges were laid
- Not worried about Procyon
- Tightening up on rules, regulations, fosters, releases
Education Animals (Edgar & Rusty)
- Received Dec 5, 2023 from Wye Marsh
- Needs time to adjust to environment, sound, staff, etc.
- Rusty limited to staff until he is comfortable and adjusting
- Edgar is acceptable of anyone, give lots of attention
Fosters (package forms)
- have to be screened & approved by Debra/Crystal
- fill out documentation
- volunteered one year with Procyon
- Foster location inspected by Debra/Crystal
- MNR log book form used
- Transportation protocols
- Zero tolerance
Releases (form)
- Documentation needs to be filled out and recorded
- Exceptions only approved by Debra/Crystal discretion
- No public involvement unless approved by Debra/Crystal
Baby Season (forms)
- Winter protocols (form)
- Starting March 1st
- Nurseries need stocked and cleaned (inventory form printed)
Ontario Nature TV Program
- Debra has meeting Jan 22, 2024 to discuss details if chosen
- TV program – Love Nature wants to film wildlife from beginning to release
