Training and Medical Procedures

By Procyon Volunteer on June 10, 2026June 16, 2026

Please be reminded that volunteers, CSJs, interns, and team members are not permitted to train others on procedures such as tube feeding or subcutaneous fluid administration.

All training for these procedures must be conducted directly by Procyon Wildlife staff.

In addition, volunteers are generally not permitted to perform advanced medical procedures, including tube feeding and subcutaneous fluid administration, until they have completed a minimum of one year with Procyon Wildlife and have received formal authorization and training from staff.

These policies are in place to protect both the animals in our care and the individuals working with them.
