Dear Procyon Volunteers,
Procyon Wildlife has been hard at work refreshing and strengthening our direction, including the
recent introduction of the new calendar system. As part of this process, we have also been
reviewing the content of the Procyon Post.
We have heard from a number of volunteers who are interested in submitting articles to our
monthly newsletter, the Procyon Post, which has a readership of over 1,700.
As we continue to grow and evolve, we would love to invite you to share your experiences,
stories, and insights. Your unique perspectives from caring for wildlife at the centre will bring
the work we do at Procyon to life and are truly appreciated by our readers.
To help keep the newsletter consistent and easy to manage, we have a few simple guidelines.
Articles should be a maximum of 500 words, and we recommend including up to five photos per
submission. If you do not have photos, please do not worry, as we have a large repository of
images that we can use to complement your article.
Submission deadlines are the 25 th of each month for publication in the following month,
however, please note that submitting an article does not guarantee publication in a specific
month.
Our editor works to balance content across each issue, and timing may vary. The editor may also
make edits to submissions to ensure clarity, consistency, and fit within the newsletter.
To submit your article, please contact our Editor, Annette Bays,
at annetteb@procyonwildlife.com.
We warmly encourage you to consider contributing. Your stories and experiences play an
important role in connecting our community to the incredible work being done at Procyon.
Thank you for all that you do. You prove every day that HELP is your Hands… it’s in ALL our
HANDS!
With kind regards,
Board of Directors
